Make sure to use a FINE strainer…No chunks of pepper in gummy mixture Use only 3/4 cup of the pepper water for the gelation mixture Set pepper mixture aside for a few minutes – ( 5 minutes ) • Dust silicone candy molds with corn starch • Mix Karo® Corn Syrup with gelatin mixture • Cycle #1 Microwave for 1 minute (on-high) Stir Mixture for 20 seconds Add the Unflavored Jello and Kool-Aid to the gelation, gently stir the mixture, • Cycle #2 Microwave for 45 seconds Stir Mixture for 20 seconds - Use an Immersion Blender • Cycle #3 Microwave for 30 seconds Stir Mixture for 20 seconds - Use an Immersion Blender • Mixture should be approx 155F to 175F --- If not HOT enough, microwave for 20 seconds. If mixture is too HOT, allow to cool (DO NOT ALLOW MIXTURE to BOIL) Let mixture cool for 2-3 minutes Gently stir the mixture - Use an Immersion Blender • Once everything is dissolved it’s time to add your tincture. 10 tablespoons. Stir tincture with an Immersion Blender, combine fully. (Will take a couple of minutes) • Let mixture sit for 3 minutes (should be shiny) • Gently stir the mixture again, use an Immersion Blender • Pour into molds • Leave on table to set for 1 hour • Place in Freezer for 2 hours • Pop gummies out of molds, place on a wire cooling rack to dehydrate at room temp for 24-48 hours for a more traditional gummy texture. This recipe makes roughly 70 gummy rounds.
