Fat loss exercises are essential because they help you burn calories, build muscle, and improve overall fitness. Here are some reasons why they’re important: 1. Increased Calorie Burn: Exercise helps you burn calories, which is crucial for creating a calorie deficit, necessary for fat loss. 2. Boosts Metabolism: Regular physical activity, especially strength training and high-intensity workouts, can boost your metabolism, meaning you burn more calories even when you’re resting. 3. Preserves Muscle Mass: While losing fat, exercise (especially strength training) helps preserve lean muscle mass, which keeps your metabolism higher and helps shape your body. 4. Improved Health: Beyond fat loss, exercise improves heart health, insulin sensitivity, and overall well-being, reducing the risk of chronic diseases. 5. Mental Health Benefits: Exercise also improves mood, reduces stress, and boosts energy levels, which can help with motivation and consistency in your fat loss journey. Some effective fat-loss exercises include: • Cardio: Running, cycling, swimming, and HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training). • Strength Training: Weight lifting or bodyweight exercises like squats, push-ups, and lunges. • Circuit Training: Combining cardio and strength exercises for a full-body workout. Consistency, proper nutrition, and sleep are also key to maximizing fat loss.

These are 8 Cardio Mistakes and Myths that slow down fat loss and muscle growth. Instead of making these common workout mistakes follow these cardio rules. You'll find out what's better cardio or weights and strength training. By fixing these mistakes you'll be able to avoid the common traps that prevent weight loss and kill gains. 🔥 FREE 6 Week Shred: https://GravityTransformation.com 📲 Diet/Workout Calculator: https://bit.ly/2COCrHw Cardio can help you improve the function of your heart and lungs, it can help increase your endurance and stamina, and when used correctly it can also help you burn fat. However, there are many misconceptions about the role that cardio should play in the fat loss process and if you're doing cardio the wrong way you can actually be hurting your progress rather than helping ut. So today I want to go over the 8 top cardio myths that are slowing down your progress and potentially even causing you to gain fat or lose muscle, which is exactly the opposite of what you're probably doing cardio for, to begin with. And one of the core myths is that all types of cardio are effective for fat loss. This simply is not true and there's lots of evidence to support this. For example, a meta-analysis of 14 studies with a grand total of 1,847 overweight and obese participants evaluated if cardio benefits weight loss.(1) And the conclusion was that “isolated aerobic exercise is not an effective weight loss therapy for these patients."(2) Now I know that may seem strange. After all, cardio burns calories, and since fat loss is mainly about being in a calorie deficit, then cardio should help... right? Well, it's not so simple for example one downside of cardio is that it causes 'constrained energy expenditure.' This means burning calories through cardio tends to lower your general activity levels and energy expenditure throughout the day, which often counteracts the calories burned from the cardio itself.(3) Your body burns a lot of calories throughout the day when you're not exercising. This is known as non-exercise activity thermogenesis or neat and neat uses a good chunk of calories. however, due to constrained energy expenditure, your body will look for shortcuts to save calories limiting the effectiveness of using cardio strictly for the purpose of fat loss. Aside from that, many people believe that if they do cardio, they can eat much more food, but as I'm sure many of you know you can't outrun a bad diet. The next myth that many beginners fall for is this idea that cardio is more effective for fat loss Than Resistance Training. It is true that incorporating both resistance training and some cardio into your workout routine can be very effective, but cardio-only based programs have many drawbacks. When comparing cardio only programs to resistance training programs, resistance training tends to be more effective especially over the long term, largely because, contrary to cardio, it doesn’t cause constrained energy expenditure. (4) And like I said according to the studies this constrained energy expenditure makes you compensate for the calories you burnt during your cardio workout by reducing your physical activity throughout the day. (5) These are little changes that you might not even notice, like not having the energy to walk your dog, or sitting and laying when you would normally be moving around, or even simply fidgeting less throughout the day. Even though this may not sound like a big deal when your body is trying to save energy it is very effective at doing so and cardio pushes your body to save energy. Meanwhile, researchers have said that “Resistance training, appears to do the opposite, so it facilitates nonexercise activity thermogenesis. Scientists also say that this is particularly true on non-exercise days, which may lead to more sustainable adaptations in response to an exercise program.”(5) On top of that, you burn about the same number of calories during a resistance training session as you do during a cardio session. This was shown in a 2015 study published in The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. (6) So, in that regard, resistance training is just as effective, but, unlike cardio, lifting weights also helps prevent muscle loss while on a diet, which not only helps you look better when you're done dieting but it also helps support your metabolism ultimately helping you keep the fat off. The next cardio myth isn't necessarily going to cause weight gain, but you should still know that according to the latest evidence, fasted cardio is not actually better for fat loss than doing your cardio after you already ate. For a while, it was believed that since insulin levels are really low first thing in...

How to lose that last stubborn 10 pounds of body fat The whole process of getting fit, losing body fat and building muscle tends to be a series of ups and downs. If we are doing it right we should be able to draw a straight line averaging out these highs and lows with one line going down representing our body fat and one going up representing our increased muscle mass. This should be happening no matter how old you are because we can get fit and build muscle at any age. Losing 10 pounds of body fat for good whether it be that first ten pounds or that stubborn last 10 pounds can be a real challenge. When we get stuck in our weight loss efforts we need to double down and reassess our weight loss plan. But this doesn’t necessarily mean eating even less. Is there any areas we have start to let slip. It’s summertime maybe we are having a few more beer than we normally would have. Or we’ve started to have a dessert after dinner a couple times a week instead of once a week. Our portion sizes could be slowing increasing. It might just be that we are not quite as active. This often happens as we move from summer to winter. With the colder weather coming we are just not as motivated to go outside and do things. Once we have looked at our plan and have decided we have been sticking to it, then we need to look at the details. For example how fast do you eat? It sounds a bit like an old wives tail, if you eat too fast you’ll gain weight. But they did a study on a group of healthy men. And fed them a meal of ice cream. I know! Ice cream?! how does a guy get into one of these studies? So they split these men into 2 groups with the one group having to eat all their ice cream in 5 minutes and the other group had theirs portioned out and were given small portions every five minutes for a half hour. The over all amount of ice cream eaten by both groups was the same. Now what is interesting here is they tested various hormone responses after the ice cream was eaten. Including two that are well know to help us feel full and satiated. These are glucagon like peptide 1 and peptide YY. Both of these where substantially higher in those who took longer to eat their meal. Indicating the rate we eat can affect our feelings of fullness. So eating slower will help us to feel full and in the long run encourage us to eat less. Now if you’ve lost weight by simply eliminating processed foods and refined sugars from your diet. Or you might of had some success with intermittent fasting. But now you’ve hit a Plateau and just can’t seem to get passed it. It might be time to start counting calories. They did a meta analysis on 37 different studies involving over 16,000 people doing various different weight loss plans and what they found is after a year is those who tracked their calories lost on average 7.3 more pounds than those who did not. Do you find that your regularly blowing your diet or over consuming food on the weekends? Something that I do different with myself and some of my clients is I adjust the amount of food or the calories I consume based on lifestyle, not training days. So traditionally you would increase your calories intake and in particular your carbs on your training days and eat less on your non training days. What I do instead is I eat less during the week when my days are more structured and it is easier to stick to the plan. Leaving a few extra calories for the weekends when I tend to go out more. So for example if you are on a 2000 calorie a day plan reduce your calories Monday to Friday to 1800, allowing you an extra 1000 calories for the weekend you can either split them up over Saturday and Sunday giving you 2500 calories for each day or if you have only one day a week you tend to get off track then save all the calories for that day which would give you 3200 calories for the day. One of the additional advantages to fluctuating the amount of calories you consume each day is it keeps your metabolism from slowing down as the higher calorie days keep the body from going into what they like to call starvation mode.
