A quick recipe (serves 5)
🔥To a pan add 1 cup horse gram and roast until it changes its colour.
🔥Now add to a mixer and grind it.
🔥Now add 1 tbsp coriander seeds, 1/2 tbsp cumin, 2 red chilli, 1 Kashmiri red chilli, 3-4 coconut pieces and roast for 2 min.
🔥Now add these to kollu powder and grind it to a smooth paste ( add little water)
🔥Then to the casserole add 1 tbsp coconut oil, 1 tsp mustard, 1 tsp cumin, 1 red chilli, 10 garlic, curry leaves, 20 small onion and sauté for 5 min.
🔥Add the kollu paste and sauté for 1 min.
🔥Now add 2 litre water and allow it to boil.
🔥Soak lemon size tamarind and add the extract along with 1 tsp palm sugar, asafoetida 1 tsp, salt.
🔥Boil for 10 min in low flame once it gets thick turn off the flame.
🔥Serve it with brown rice / chapathi.
