In this video, we’re going to talk about three ways to get your body to burn fat by tapping into its own fat reserve.
First, you have to lower your carbs to between 20-50 grams per day. If you have a slow metabolism, try consuming even less than 20 grams of carbohydrates each day. In the presence of sugar, your body won’t burn fat.
By lowering your carb intake, you’ll put yourself into ketosis and your body will adapt to fat burning. When you first start on keto, you’ll have to increase your dietary fat, otherwise intermittent fasting will be difficult. It is important to combine healthy ketosis with intermittent fasting to burn fat fast.
Once you’ve adapted to fat burning, reduce your dietary fat so that your body burns its own fat instead.
Make sure you consume only a moderate amount of protein. Try consuming about three to six ounces per meal. You need enough protein to prevent your body from breaking down its own muscles for fuel, but too much protein will stop fat-burning.
