Now, if you were to add cardio, and you weren’t used to doing cardio, it would help you burn more calories. So yes, it would help you burn more body fat. Also, if you find not eating breakfast in the morning, allows, you to eat less throughout the day, intermittent fasting can help you! But neither of these things are magic beyond how they instill the calorie deficit. So I don’t think you’re missing anything just because other people have a religious following on some of these ideas. If you were to simply - get 8 to 10 K steps per day - Have a 500 cal deficit - Eat near your body weight protein - Strength train 3 to 4 days a week You will have great fat loss without using any of the other tricks. Keep it simple because it’s hard enough!
