Wha ha ha happened? Oh yea, it’s because it doesn’t fit his bias. Now personally, I don’t put much stock in these mechanistic rodent studies without relevant human outcome data. I don’t think red meat is inherently carcinogenic because when overall diet quality is controlled for, we don’t see increased cancer rates (PMID: 32751091). But I also don’t think the ketogenic diet is a treatment for colon cancer, especially if you aren’t consuming adequate fiber as part of it since fiber intake is one of the biggest reducers of colon cancer risk.
