Anavar for fat loss?
All androgens to decrease lipoprotein lipase and upregulate β-adrenergic receptors on adipocytes, which would inhibit the accumulation of lipid and enhance the efflux of lipid from these cells in response to catecholamines
These androgen do differ in action
Anavar has shown greater fat loss over testosterone in a 3 month intervention.
Anavar and nandrolone comparitaley have similar drops in subQ fat, but nandrolone had increases in visceral fat.
Anavar seems unique at least in a few studies in visceral fat reduction. Keep in mind lipid skewing is a greater risk with this compound though.
How much fat loss?
20mg per day in males caused a 1.8kg fat mass loss over 12 weeks vs placebo
Why?
Anavar can decrease thyroid binding globulin which might be linked to altered pancreatic functions regulating carbohydrate metabolism. Other factors may contribute outside of this as well.
