The Bush sisters and Kelly Clarkson Continued "Chubby" Phases of the Hager Bond
During a recent episode of "The Kelly Clarkson Show,"" host Kelly Clarkson and co-host Jenna Bush Hager of "Today With Hoda & Jenna" had a humorous moment where they reminisced about their "chubby" teenage years.
"We were chubby," Hager said as the two hosts reminisced about their Halloween costumes and looked at old images; Clarkson shot back, "You were not." As a picture of Hager and Barbara Bush, who were twins, showed on the screen, dressed identically in blue dresses when they were teenagers, Clarkson reassured Hager, saying, "I don't think you know what chubby is."
Hager and her sister were overweight at one point, and Clarkson acknowledged that they went through "many stages" of being overweight. In an interview, the Grammy winner discussed her love of dieting and her humorous battle to find jeans that flatter her curvier body.
While Clarkson acknowledged the joy of weight loss, she did mention a catch. "Jeans are so hard when you have a butt and a smaller waist."
