2. you have any other medical conditions
3. you are on any other medications, this includes any vitamins or supplements without a script.
4. you drink alcohol
How do I take Contrave?
The starting dose is usually one tablet once a day in the morning. The dose will be gradually increased as follows:
Week 1: One tablet once a day in the morning
Week 2: One tablet twice a day, one in the morning and one in the evening
Week 3: Three tablets every day, two in the morning and one in the evening
Week 4 and onward: Two tablets twice a day, two in the morning and two in the evening.
The maximum recommended daily dose of Contrave is two tablets twice a day.
If you have liver or kidney problems, the doctor may reduce the dosage.
Take Contrave with food and Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not cut, chew or crush it. Take it at the same time every day, so you remember. Set an alarm to remind yourself if you need to. make sure you have enough medicine to last weekends and holidays.
Continue to take Contrave as long as your doctor tells you to. Some people do not respond to Contrave. The doctor will discontinue the treatment if you have not lost more than 5% of your initial body weight within the first 16 weeks.
If you forget to take Contrave, If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the dose you missed and take your next dose when you are meant to. Do not take a double dose to make up for the dose you missed.
