I couldn't quite tell what they were at first.
Then I realized I was getting ads for perimenopause supplements.

All of these supplements make a wide array of promises:
support hormonal balance
relieve symptoms of menopause
support cortisol/estrogen/progesterone levels
improve sleep quality
help with irritability
enhance the body’s stress response
support mental function
and of course, promote healthy weight loss and curb carb cravings.

First of all, a single pill can't actually do all of that.
Especially not when it's full of a "proprietary blend" of herbs that are not necessarily meant to interact with one another.
Second, supplements are deeply problematic because they are unregulated, which means they are largely untested.
Which means, you don't really know what they're going to do to your body.
Third, why do they all promote "healthy weight loss?"
Why are we still prioritizing being smaller at a time when your body is in full chaos?
