There are characteristics of Whole30 that I support, but also characteristics that I don’t support. I support the elimination of added sugars, consumption of a variety of fruits and vegetables, focus on healthy monounsaturated fats, recommendations for mindful eating and emphasis on home cooking. This diet is not effective for identifying gluten sensitivity, I worry that there would be overconsumption of saturated fat and feel that whole grains and legumes would be forever demonized.
